Casa Museu Salvador Dali
We love the Dalí House in Port Lligat. It's a true glimpse into this eccentric individual. He bought the small fishing house and slowly kept adding to it over time. It's filled with his unusual collection and sense of artistic style. There's a small history of the building progress across from the ticket booth to visit before you go in. You will not be allowed to take much into the museum, so leave bags in your car or plan to pay to use a locker. There is a bathroom on-site if you have paid tickets, or a public restroom near the beach. We recommend planning plenty of time in the home so you don't feel rushed. There's plenty to see on the grounds, and a couple of videos you can pause to watch and learn more.

The easy walk from Cadaqués makes it an excellent place to combine with a visit to Cadaqués. Cadaqués, a small town with a long history in the Costa Brava, is a famous haven for artists, with Dalí living and working nearby, as well as Picasso, Miró, Duchamp, and Richard Hamilton, all of whom visited the town. We do recommend getting tickets the day before.

You can drive right to Port Lligat and walk along the beach to the Casa-Museu Salvador Dali. On a sunny day, it makes a great beach stop; on a rainy, windy day, there may be mud along the route. If you're looking for more information to make this stop part of a full-day trip, check out our recommendation for Cadaqués.
