La Gilda was easy tapas, or pintxos (Pintxos got its name from the Spanish pincho, a cocktail stick). You will be charged by the individual tapa (typically by the number of toothpicks). It’s a good way to go if you have diverse tastes and appetites in the group.
Gelatone Trattoria and Pizza Mia are owned or operated by the same entity. Delicious pizza offerings with some familiar favorites and some new flavor combinations. Nearby in Torroella de Montgri
El Raco Del Cafe - great coffee and breakfast options. Inside, open air, or in the promenade. Can even get a beer, wine, or cocktail here and sit for a while.
La Boheme Torroella was a cute, nice restaurant on the edge of an old market square. It was enjoyable to walk back to the square and explore the art that depicted the history of the market.
Our Favorites
Girona - Restaurant Can Punxa - 37km, 40 minutes. They serve traditional Catalan cuisine. This small restaurant is owned and operated by a husband-and-wife team. Not only is the husband the head chef, he's their butcher. Expect the best and freshest meats! We suggest a reservation. Everything we had was excellent.
Restaurant del Cap de Creus - A unique restaurant with excellent curries. Restaurant del Cap de Creus is located at the easternmost point of Spain, situated within the Cap de Creus nature reserve, a fascinating natural area in its own right, boasting a unique ecosystem.
